Cotton Holds Lower on Tuesday, with Condition Ratings Slipping -
Cotton futures were down 49 to 64 points on the Tuesday session. The US dollar index was up $0.575 on the day to $98.265, with crude oil futures Soybeans Hold Losses on Tuesday, as Ratings Drop After the Close -Soybeans posted losses of 9 to 13 ½ cents across most contracts on Tuesday. There were 3 deliveries issued against September beans. The cmdtyView Wheat Closes with Weakness on Tuesday -The wheat complex held losses across the three markets on Tuesday. CBT soft red wheat futures were down 5 to 6 cents. Preliminary open interest was Cattle Pull Back Lower into the Close -Live cattle futures saw Tuesday action mixed, with nearby October down 12 cents and other contracts up 22 to 37 cents. Cash activity was quiet on Hogs Close with Gains on Tuesday -Lean hog futures posted 45 to 77 point gains across the front months on Tuesday. USDA’s national base hog report showed negotiated price was Corn Comes Back to Close with Gains as Ratings Slip Back -Corn futures saw some late day strength, as contracts closed with gains of 2 to 5 cents across most nearbys.
